Chi conosce questa chiesa di Milano già sa che quest'abside è un trucco, perché tutta quella profondità non c'è; doveva essere 9,70 m. secondo il progetto ma quello spazio non era disponibile, e così l'architetto (il Bramante!) creò un illusione ottica con quel disegno della (finta) volta a botte. La profondità vera è meno di un metro (97 cm., praticamente nulla!)...e se vi spostate lateralmente vedrete che quella (finta) volta vi viene dietro!
