Questo è il vecchio edificio dell'Abbazia di Chiaravalle, riservato all'accoglienza di pellegrini e turisti. Si tengono anche corsi di studio, esercizi spirituali, esperienze di vita monastica, incontri di preghiera, ricerca vocazionale, ritiri spirituali per ambo i sessi, clero, laici, religiosi, singoli. L'edificio che vedete nella foto, è inserito all'interno di un bel parco all'interno del monastero e dispone di 8 camere singole già fornite di biancheria, con acqua calda e bagno. Tutti sono invitati al rispetto dei momenti di silenzio e, se lo desiderano, possono partecipare alla vita dei monaci condividendo la preghiera nelle diverse ore liturgiche o il lavoro nel corso della giornata. C'è inoltre la possibilità di incontri con un sacerdote per la confessione, o direzione spirituale o semplicemente un dialogo. L'accoglienza degli ospiti è quindi orientata alla dimensione spirituale nella pace e nella meditazione. I pasti sono condivisi con i monaci, la partecipazione è tuttavia liberamente concordabile. Si richiede la puntualità e il rispetto degli orari di uscita e rientro notturni dal monastero. Per la permanenza è richiesto un contributo con una offerta adeguata. Qualcuno si chiederà: ma di che interesse è una foto del genere? Probabilmente di nessuno, ma io, quando ieri ho visto questo posto, ne sono rimasta letteralmente affascinata. Pensate sapere che esistono luoghi come questo, dove si può andare liberamente per qualche giorno, tagliando i ponti con tutto per vivere un po' più interiormente il nostro percorso di vita.
