Il Lake Powell è un lago artificiale creato sul fiume Colorado con la costruzione della Glen Canyon Dam vicina a Page ( Arizona ) , edificata tra il 1956 ed il 1966 ed alta 216 metri . Lungo quasi 300 km , il lago si situa al confine tra Arizona e Utah . Formatosi in seguito allo sbarramento del Glen Canyon sul fiume Colorado , questo enorme lago artificiale è il secondo più grande degli Stati Uniti dopo il lago Mead ubicato più a sud ovest , a circa 50 km dalla città di Las Vegas ( Nevada ) . #Panoramiche
