l'Algeria è il paese nel mondo che ha sul proprio territorio il maggior numero di reperti romani dopo l'Italia. Quello che è incredibile ed affascinante per il viaggiatore di oggi è che i siti siano totalmente deserti da altri turisti; le poche presenze, oltre all'immancabile guardiano, sono di qualche algerino che usa le rovine come luogo di passeggio e meditazione, roba d'altri tempi.
