Chi visita il Morbihan, Bretagna del sud, può deviare alla scoperta di un'isola che si può raggiungere senza dover navigare: l'isola di Saint-Cado che è veramente il gioiello dell'estuario del fiume Etel. Questa piccola isola è collegata alla terraferma da una strada rialzata che si dice sia stata creata dal diavolo. San Cado, che era venuto dal Galles in Gran Bretagna, su quest'isola costruì una cappella e voleva costruire un ponte per collegare l'isola alla terraferma, ma il compito era improbo ed è stato tentato da Satana, che si offrì di costruire il ponte in cambio dell'anima del primo essere vivente che avesse attraversato il ponte. San Cado fu d'accordo e Satana costruì il ponte in una notte. Il primo passante era un gatto che St Cado aveva nascosto sotto il suo cappotto!
