, 13 sec f/11.0, ISO 800,

Still working on the frozen bubbles.... It is seldom cold enough here to freeze bubbles so, when I saw that the temperature was due to drop to sub-zero temperatures overnight, I stayed up to make another attempt. This image was taken in the early hours of this morning with torch light (and star light!) the only sources of light. I'm sure that if my neighbours had seen me, they would have considered me a little crazy. Most bubbles popped instantly when they touched a surface but this one remained long enough to try a few shots. I experimented a little with settings but if you would like to suggest alternative settings for similar conditions, I would be more than happy to try them - if I get another chance..... I would play the card of a focal a bit longer... on the 180-200 to be clear.. Maybe to f 16 to earn just enough in depth of field if the bubbles are small...
Iso as low as possible and lighting with a flash shot... a color cast at pleasure to add then in Post....
the ideal for detail would not exceed F8... but then maybe it would serve a small stacking of some image...
Center The single shot is certainly simpler... ;-)
The glycerin should help you to make it last just enough to let the bubble freeze.... to try surely... ;-)
have fun.... and let the neighbors think what they want...!!! :-D :-D

Thanks very much for the advice, Paolo - I shall certainly bear it in mind, if I get another chance to try this. I used a macro lens for this, so that I could get close to the subject - I hadn't thought to try a zoom lens. Glycerine on the shopping list..... Sorriso And I tend not to care too much what others may think of me if I have something I wish to achieve in my photography MrGreen

My thanks, too, to Stefano!

Ann :))

Also I find the shot beautiful and original, but I would have worked differently on shutter settings (so you have less noise) and in post production (to remove it)
Anyway congratulations again!
