Certosa di Pavia, Pavia ... gennaio 2019 ... Gratiarum Carthusia è il nome latino di Santa Maria delle Grazie: monastero, santuario e solenne mausoleo edificato per volontà di Gian Galeazzo Visconti, potentissimo signore di Milano, sul finire del XIV secolo. Scrigno di tale e tanta bellezza ed arte, la Certosa di Pavia non ha certo bisogno di presentazioni. La visita al complesso monumentale, condotta da uno dei monaci cistercensi che qui risiedono in piccola comunità dal 1968, termina nel meraviglioso chiostro grande: oltre un ettaro di superficie sulla quale prospettano in armoniosa fila le 24 cellette dei monaci eremiti, composte ognuna da tre stanze, servizio, pozzo e giardino sul retro ...
