“Chiesa inferiore dell'Immacolata Concezione. Cava de' Tirreni”. Al centro della navata, lì dove, durante i lavori di scavo, è stata rinvenuta una sorgente d'acqua, è stato costruito un pozzo, come in Apocalisse 21, 6: «Ogni cosa è compiuta. Io sono l'alfa e l'omega, il principio e la fine. A chi ha sete io darò gratuitamente della fonte dell'acqua della vita». La struttura che sovrasta l'altare, in ferro colorato, con una forma stilizzata aperta come protesa verso un abbraccio, esprime l'amore universale di Dio verso tutti gli uomini, l'avvento della Gerusalemme celeste.
