Foto scattata dal paese di San Savino. L'Oasi Naturalistica "la Valle" nasce nel 1996 per volontà della Provincia di Perugia, è gestita dalla cooperativa " l'Alzavola" che si occupa delle aperture del centro visite, delle attività didattiche, turistiche e dell'Inanellamento Scientifico degli uccelli. La struttura, compresa nel Parco Regionale del Lago Trasimeno, si trova a San Savino di Magione, sulla sponda sud orientale del Lago, nella zona dove più esteso è lo straordinario ambiente del canneto al quale si deve la ricchezza di specie che si possono osservare: la Valle è interessata dal passaggio di rotte migratorie di centinaia di specie di uccelli che si fermano a nidificare, a svernare, o solo a rifornirsi di cibo durante il viaggio, così che ogni stagione dell'anno permette osservazioni diverse ed interessanti.
