LA DANZA DEL SOLE Non credo che il significato di questa danza fosse questo ma è quello che mi è veuto da pensare osservandola.... Il salto del toro è ua lunga e complessa cerimonia che segna il passaggio all' età adulta dei ragazzi Hamer: il salto è il mometo clou del' evento che però dura diversi giorni e che vede coinvolti decine e decine di persone. Le donne ad esempio, nella giornata del salto, cominciano a prepararsi fin dal mattino presto ed uno dei momenti decisivi della gionata è quando si fanno frustare dai così detti frustatori: è un momento piuttosto forte ed impressionante in cui le ragazze mostrano il loro attaccamento alla famiglia ed il loro valore la cui testimonianza rimarrà a vita nelle grosse cicatrici che si formano sulla schiena e che per le Hamer sono un vanto. Mentre subiscono tutto questos embrano felici e non mostrano nessun segno di dolore: perchè ciò avvenga, si aiutano con un alcolico locale che iniziano a bere in gran quantità fin da mattino... Dopo le frustate, la festa si sposta all' interno del villaggio e, mentre il ragazzo viene assistito e protetto nella preparazione da amici e parenti ( solo uomini ), le donne continuano a danzare saltando e suonando delle piccole trombette. La foto ritrae proprio questo momento in cui, all' interno del recinto degli animali, sembravano quasi in trance, un momento di parossimo quasi incontrollato: danzavano, saltavano, cantavano e suonavano in mezzo alla polvere in direzione del sole che iniziava a calare. Non so se fosse fatto apposta e se avesse un significato ma è stato un momento magico ed intenso. Credo sia quasi impossibile riuscire a trasmettere tutto questo con una foto ma non potevo non provarci e questo è uno dei tentativi; cosa ne dite ? Mi interessa particolarmente avere un parere schietto perchè mi piace moltissimo quello che mi evoca la foto ma non sono così convinto del risultato.... Memy
