Val di San Nicolò, gruppo Marmolada Ombretta Vernale ... agosto 2014 ... 750 metri di dislivello e due ore e passa di camminata sotto una pioggerella fina e fastidiosa: il tutto nella speranza, poi risultata vana, di ammirare le pareti della Marmolada ed i bellissimi alpeggi della Val Contrin una volta raggiunto il crinale.
