Probabilmente meno conosciuta delle sorelle maggiori, Svartifoss è comunque una cascata che merita di essere vista. La si raggiunge dopo avere percorso un sentiero più o meno impegnativo, ma quando si arriva si resta stupiti: ciò che colpisce non è la grandezza o l'altezza della cascata, ma il fatto che scorra lungo una parete nerissima basaltica, completamente scolpita quasi ci fossero tanti blocchi a formarla. Il contesto in cui si trova poi fa il resto. Tema nero per la visione.
