The 200-500 I like a lot, is light enough to use it effectively freehand, has excellent stabilization. Excellent definition further improved after accurate calibration with Focal Reikan. The maximum is from a diaphragm 6.3. Keep in mind that I also own the Sigma 150-600 s next to which it does not disfigure at all; Instead it is lower (and I would like to see) although not much compared to the Nikon 500 F4 which is also in my kit and I use more rarely given clutter, heaviness and no stabilizer....
