Nei pressi della cittadina di Castiglione della Pescia, al limite della riserva naturale della Diaccia Botrona, sorge la Casa Rossa Ximenes. Prende il nome dal suo costruttore, l'ing. Leonardo Ximenes che la progettò e realizzò tra il 1765 ed il 1768 ai fini della bonifica della zona paludosa circostante che era soggetta a piene invernali e periodi di magra estivi con conseguenti difficoltà per le attività ittiche che vi si svolgevano. A distanza di oltre 300 anni sono ancora in loco gli ingranaggi che venivano usati per la regolazione delle acque e, seppur da tempo non vengano più utilizzati sono ancora funzionanti. La Casa Rossa è stata riconvertita in un museo che racconta la storia della zona umida con percorsi interattivi per grandi e piccoli visitatori. Dalla Casa Rossa è inoltre possibile addentrarsi nella Diaccia Botrona per raggiungere i capanni di avvistamento della fauna che popola la zona paludosa. #Black&White Commenti e critiche sono graditi.

Thank you very much Marco for linking the color version (but you were not obliged ;-)); In any case, as I imagined, the rendition and reading of the photo are diametrically opposite to each other even if the color is similar but I do not think the same image of the one in the vision, the color has the villa more decentralized to the left and has the bank halved on that side; They are still beautiful figure IPP but conceptually are two things of course different, I prefer the color in any case on which, for this personal, I would have worked on it willingly :-D even if you know a drop in light tone to the left, shadow Growing or a bit of vignetting but treatable in post... ;-).
