Tempo fa postai una versione in bianco e nero di questo splendido monumento commemorativo che Napoleone Bonaparte fece costruire per celebrare le sue vittorie, ed in particolare la gloriosa vittoria di Austerlitz. L'arco in puro stile neoclassico, fu realizzato dal 1807 al 1809, da Percier e Fontaine, architetti di chiara fama. Oggi, mi piace invece mostrare questo austero monumento che, ebbe come modello l'Arco di Costantino a Roma, a colori, perché credo che il colore dia l'esatta dimensione del suo quotidiano: affollato sempre da turisti, in qualsiasi stagione si vada a Parigi. Dal punto dove ho scattato la foto, si ha una panoramica totale anche su Place du Louvre, ed è per questo che bisogna spostarsi in continuazione per riuscire a scattare, perché si è spinti da masse di gente che scendono dai vari pullman turistici. Gruppi vocianti, ragazzini che corrono, coppie che non ascoltano la guida, ma si dedicano a fare self, altri che corrono al chiosco delle bibite. Sono certa che, quando risalgono sui pullman, la maggior parte dei turisti stranieri, non ha sentito una parola di quello che ha detto la guida, e pazienza se non sapranno che l'Ar du Carrousel, ricorda Napoleone e la sua grandeur, in compenso avranno sempre una foto e un ricordo della ville lumière.
