La bella fiaba lucana del maestro di Ferrandina e del suo Biblioautocarro azzurro La sua storia sembra uscita da una fiaba nordica ma ha i colori del Mediterraneo, come l'azzurro acquamarina del suo autocarro…E' la storia di Antonio La Cava, maestro elementare di Ferrandina (Matera), 42 anni di insegnamento alle spalle, che una volta andato in pensione non ha affatto smesso di pensare ai bambini e all'importanza della loro formazione culturale. Prendendo atto della carenza di strutture bibliotecarie in molti luoghi della sua regione, la Basilicata, ha deciso di creare una biblioteca ambulante per raggiungere quei piccoli lettori nei luoghi in cui vivono. E' nato così il Biblioautocarro, un'Ape usata, che lui ha fatto modificare in modo da darle l'aspetto di una casetta, completa di comignolo, tutta piena di libri. Ne contiene almeno 700. Col simpatico trabiccolo, ogni sabato percorre le strade della Basilicata, annunciando il suo arrivo col suono di un organetto, mentre i bambini lo aspettano trepidanti nelle piazze. Antonio racconta di come i bambini prendano in prestito i libri sedendosi su un gradino a sfogliarli e di come questo crei un'atmosfera magica che raggiunge il culmine quando i piccoli lettori si avvicinano al Libro Bianco su cui Antonio consente loro di scrivere ciò che vogliono. Eccoli allora lì intenti a vergare sulla carta racconti o anche storie personali che altri bambini potranno continuare, riservandosi comunque la facoltà di scriverne di nuovi. “Sono sempre storie meravigliose”, dice entusiasta il maestro, che ha portato il suo Biblioautocarro persino all'ultimo Salone Internazionale del Libro di Torino, lo scorso maggio . Fin lì Antonio ha trasportato testi e pubblicazioni sulla Lucania, suscitando la curiosità di numerose scolaresche e di tantissimi curiosi affascinati da questa originale iniziativa di promozione della lettura.
