Thanking everybody so much!

This is a tidal estuary over salt mudflats and the tide is very far out. Usually, the water would come up to the foreground that I was walking on. The water is running out in the rivulet that is shaped like an oxbow (as some have correctly said), in the mud.

When I saw the cloud above I knew the composition would work but the ferry was taking a LONG time to move across the image and the windy conditions (you can see the ripples on the water) it had also blown the cloud upwards and leftwards, so not ideal.

I used a good polariser to cut the glare off the water but at this angle, it did not darken the sky top left. The wide angle and PP brought that out afterwards. The RAW file required much working on. I was pleased with the end result, considering the conditions. Cheers!

Great wide angle shot with strong leading lines!
I would say this doesn't need colours to tell the message... Great capture Tim!

Wish you a nice evening!
Chris

This was NEVER going to stay in colour, Chris, from when I first saw its potential!

Thanks - and you too.

And that's important. To see when you should choose b/w! And you can do it, that's good...
