19.08.2017 Il Samburu NR accoglie molte specie particolari, visibili solo in questa zona dell'Africa, una fra queste è la Zebra di Grevy. La specie è considerata in pericolo, a causa soprattutto del degrado del suo habitat e della caccia, praticata per il suo mantello che, sui mercati mondiali, è valutato ad un prezzo molto elevato. La Zebra di Grevy, chiamata anche Zebra Imperiale ha orecchie molto grandi rotondeggianti, testa simile al nostro Asino e mantello con strisce molto sottili che terminano molto prima della linea alba addominale, lasciando quindi il ventre completamente bianco. L'immagine, che ritrae una madre col suo piccolo di schiena, evidenzia molto bene le caratteristiche di questa specie in pericolo di estinzione. #wild
