Grazie a questa leggenda, in Inghilterra le primule sono conosciute con il nome bunch of keys o pile of key che significa “mazzo di chiavi”. La primula, grazie alla sua leggenda, è divenuta il fiore simbolo della primavera. Rappresenta così la primavera della vita: la giovinezza. La primula è un fiore che cresce spontaneamente per annunciare la rinascita della natura. La vittoria del bene sul male, l'arrivo di una nuova prosperità. E' portatrice di sole e di abbondanza.
