La vera e propria essenza cornica sono queste spettacolari e selvagge scogliere che la circondano per tutto il suo perimetro dal Canale di Bristol alla Manica ed all'Oceano Atlantico...percorsi scoscesi sul mare sentieri selvaggi e difficili da trecking respirando salmastro a più non posso...Questo è lo spettacolo che offre la Cornovaglia, il mare impetuoso che la fa da padrone, anche se la campagna attorno e i villaggi non sono poi chissà che...ma il mare signori....Ho già riproposto questa scogliera ma ieri ho trovato questa foto fatta da un altra angolazione ed ho deciso di sottoporla alla vostra attenzione...siamo nel Lizard National Trust luogo assolutamente spettacolare ed esiste una bella storia da raccontare su questo luogo. Un piccolo ruscello conduce alla spiaggia di Gew Graze, un po 'di sabbia con la bassa marea; a nord del torrente una cava operò tra il 1750 al 1819, estraendo la pietra ollare. Venivano estratte fino a 500 libbre di pietra ollare ogni settimana, separate in 3 colori, il bianco era il più prezioso. La cava però chiuse quando la caolinite iniziò ad essere utilizzata nella produzione di porcellana. Buona visione
