Il costume sardo maschile: i copricapo Le tradizioni della Sardegna prevedono un copricapo anche per il costume maschile, spaziando tra diversi tipi: cuffie, berrette a sacco, fez, fazzoletti e cappelli a tesa. Le prima, in sardo coffia, risulta piuttosto diffusa come ornamento tra la fine del settecento e la seconda meta' dell'ottocento; successivamente questo accessorio, una rete realizzata ai ferri in lana o cotone, risulta sempre meno utilizzato. Le berrette a sacco (o berritta) sono invece di forma allungata, in orbace o in panno nero, rosso o marrone; caratterizzano il costume sardo di molte citta', essendo praticamente diffuse in tutta la Sardegna. L'uso del fazzoletto e' proprio dell'area di Cagliari e dell'Iglesiente: in tutto e per tutto simile a quello femminile, e' quadrato, decorato con fantasie vivaci o motivi geometrici e utilizzato ripiegandolo piu' volte.
