con Sigma 1.4x TC-1401, 1/2000 f/5.6, ISO 1250, hand held. Masai Mara, Kenya. Specie: Crocuta crocuta

#wild #safari #controluce

Thank you very many friends for the wonderful comments. This is a review of my shot published a few months ago, I arranged the post production following the advice of Mario Mulinai and Marco Valentini ... thank you both!
Mauro, you're right ... the hyenas are special ... the females have a very developed clitoris that could be confused with a penis. In this case, however, I guarantee you that it was a "real" coupling (I participated in all its phases), also from the image you can see the testicles of the male (usually smaller than the female). Capturing a pair of hyenas is not so simple ... in our African travels it only happened once :-P
Greetings to everyone
Fabio

So again congratulations.
I find them very fascinating animals, despite the terrible undeserved fame.

Did you succeed Fabio and how! The choice not to open the shadows I share. This has allowed you to emphasize the bright corona effect of the fur of the subjects affected by the rising sun. The silhouettes are still legible. Excellent naturalistic document.
bye gios ;-)
