Lo stile e la scuola dell'affresco esterno rimandano a quello interno presente nell'abside avente anch'esso per soggetto la Santissima Trinità, dunque suppongo che possa essere originale dell'epoca (o degli anni appena successivi alla costruzione), ma potrebbe anche essere una copia effettuata circa un secolo dopo quando venne costruita la sagrestia superiore. In ogni caso tutte le opera d'arte presenti nella chiesa e l'intera chiesetta sono state restaurate tra il 2007 ed il 2009.
