AVML (Alta Via dei Monti Liguri) … Migliaia di chilometri di sentieri e mulattiere, percorribili tutto l'anno, che collegano le estremità della riviera ligure da Ventimiglia a Ceparana, dalla Provincia di Imperia alla Provincia di La Spezia. Un viaggio tra costa ed entroterra, tra Alpi ed Appennini, tra mare e cielo, lungo praterie erbose che scendono raramente sotto i mille metri di quota, in un ambiente aspro e dolce allo stesso tempo dove le strade carrabili, spesso, non sono mai arrivate. L'Alta Via dei Monti Liguri è l'itinerario perfetto per tutti: per coloro che vogliono scoprire gli angoli più reconditi dell'entroterra ligure, per chi è in cerca d'avventura, per chi vuole passare un tranquillo week end a contatto con la natura o per la famiglia in gita domenicale. Il segnavia - la bandierina bianco/rossa con la scritta "AV" al centro - individua e caratterizza il tracciato, disegnando una grande strada verde dove crinali soleggiati si alternano a boschi ombrosi e, talvolta, nebbie orografiche creano forme e atmosfere surreali, un percorso unico da cui è possibile ammirare, nello stesso momento, la Corsica, il Monviso e il Massiccio del Monte Rosa. Notevole lungo l'intero tragitto è anche il patrimonio storico e culturale, basti pensare alle possente linea di fortificazioni del ponente o ai numerosi ed antichissimi insediamenti rurali che sfiorano il crinale in diversi punti del percorso: Realdo (IM), Canate (GE) e Zignago (SP), solo per citarne alcuni. Ogni tappa dell'Alta Via può rappresentare l'occasione per organizzare la visita ad un borgo, un castello, un museo. Poi c'è la natura. Insieme ai Siti della Rete Natura 2000 Comunitaria, al sistema dei parchi e alla rete ecologica regionale, l'Alta Via costituisce un “corridoio di connessione” per eccellenza, prezioso in particolare per la macrofauna. Non a caso, nel 2004, un lupo dotato di radiocollare ha migrato dall'Appennino Emiliano alle Alpi Marittime usufruendo proprio di questa importante strada verde. - Fonte Cai Liguria. - Unione di due scatti orizzontali a mano libera - (Rod)
