Gargonza, Arezzo ... luglio 2009 ... Il piccolo ed ameno borgo fortificato di Gargonza sorge sulla cima di un colle tra le alture che fan da cortina tra la Val di Chiana aretina e le Crete senesi. Per scongiurarne l'abbandono ed il totale declino, nella seconda metà del secolo scorso la proprietà decise di adattare l'intero castellare a struttura ricettiva nella forma di albergo diffuso: da allora turisti in gran parte stranieri, inglesi e olandesi in primis, si danno regolarmente il cambio nell'animare di nuova vita il borgo antico. Ricordo perfettamente la scena cui ho assistito in quell'assolato meriggio di molti anni fa: un gruppetto di bimbi, eccitati e vocianti, che si rincorrevano per gli stretti vicoli in una babele di nomi, di grida ed imprecazioni per poi riunirsi in conciliabolo e con gesti e mimiche da attori navigati scambiarsi tra loro le diverse opinioni ... stavano semplicemente trovando un accordo per armonizzare le regole del nascondino vigenti nei vari paesi d'origine! ....
