Pur essendo costruita nell'acqua, Venezia aveva una grandissima esigenza di acqua potabile nei tempi andati. Per ovviare a tale necessità vennero costruiti sparsi nella città questi pozzi (nel giro di alcuni secoli questi raggiunsero il numero di seimila) che con un ingegnoso sistema di canalizzazione raccoglievano le acque piovane (venivano filtrate da strati di sabbia ed argilla) ad uso e consumo della popolazione veneziana del tempo. Attualmente i pozzi sono notevolmente diminuiti ma ancora oggi li si può trovare quasi in ogni campo o "calle larga" di Venezia. Nella foto si vedono due pozzi, cosa abbastanza rara in quanto, solitamente, non venivano mai costruiti in coppia (attualmente a Venezia credo esistano solo due o tre di queste costruzioni in "coppia")

Hi, Sergio Ciao Alberto, quel giorno c'era una nebbia fittissima e la visibilità era limitata a qualche decina di metri. Bisogna precisare però che nel contrastare l'immagine l'effetto dissolvenza delle cose (ad esempio il lampione che si vede sulla sx) si è accentuato. Diciamo che ai lati, a partire da mezzo fotogramma in su, ho lasciato questa "particolare" dissolvenza non toccando la parte centrale. Spero di essermi spiegato
