Bagno Vignoni, immerso nella Val d'Orcia a pochi chilometri da Siena, è un borgo unico al mondo. La piazza centrale è occupata da una grande vasca medievale, dove l'acqua sgorga dalla sorgente termale e fumiga lentamente, creando un'atmosfera fiabesca che ha stupito i viaggiatori di ogni tempo. Attorno alla vasca si affacciano gli edifici rinascimentali ed il bel loggiato di Santa Caterina da Siena, che conferiscono alla piazza una grande eleganza. Le acque si dirigono verso la vicina rupe, che conserva antichi mulini sotterranei con le loro vasche di accumulo (le ex terme libere), mentre altre acque alimentano gli stabilimenti termali nati nel piccolo borgo. Il tutto è immerso in un paesaggio suggestivo, dove fare una bella passeggiata lungo sentieri segnati.
