Un salto nel passato: Lutero a Coburgo Riprendo la serie di " Un salto nel passato" proponendovi questo ripreso nella Veste-Fortezza di Coburgo in Baviera, dove Lutero vi si rifugiò per porsi al riparo dai contadini in rivolta. Questa stanza, ospitò Lutero per 172 giorni. Lutero non fù certo una persona che predicava solo il Vangelo. Alcune sue frasi sono molto forti e non andrebbero dimenticate, qui ne cito alcune: • LUTERO SUI CATTOLICI: Nel suo Sermone per la crociata contro i Turchi del 1529 si legge: "Penso che il Papa è un diavolo incarnato e mascherato perché è l'Anticristo". “ La Messa non è un sacrificio... chiamatela benedizione, Eucaristia, tavola del Signore, cena del Signore, memoria del Signore, o come più vi piace, purché non la sporchiate col nome di sacrificio o azione “. «Affermo che tutti gli omicidi, i furti, gli adulterii sono meno cattivi che questa abominevole Messa… (.Sermone della 1° domenica d'Avvento) ...”la loro Messa è sacrilega e abominevole. Io dichiaro che tutti i bordelli, gli omicidi, i furti, gli assassinii e gli adulterii sono meno malvagi di quella abominazione che è la messa papista ( Trattato contra Henricum ) • LUTERO SUGLI EBREI: "Bisogna dare fuoco alle loro sinagoghe o scuole; e ciò che non vuole bruciare deve essere ricoperto di terra e sepolto, in modo che nessuno possa mai più vederne un sasso o un resto.... E se Mosè ora fosse in vita, sarebbe il primo a incendiare le sinagoghe e le case degli ebrei" Era il 1543 quando Martin Lutero scrisse il libello Degli ebrei e delle loro menzogne, nel quale, tra le altre ignominie, si invitava a ripulire la Germania dalla «piaga» giudaica, dando «fuoco alle loro sinagoghe e alle loro scuole». Gli stessi nazisti, più che negli scritti antisemiti di Hegel o di altri filosofi, per le proprie persecuzioni s'ispirarono a quel terribile testo.Lo stesso pogrom scatenato in Germania, Austria e Cecoslovacchia durante la cosiddetta «notte dei cristalli» fu voluto proprio nel giorno del compleanno di Lutero. Quindi, e naturalmente è solo una mia opinione, è giustissimo riconoscere alcuni meriti a Lutero, ma quella di portare una sua statua in Vaticano, mi sembra un pò eccessivo. Avvicinare la fede Evangelica a quella Cattolica, è giusto. Festeggiare i 500 anni di divisione ..... Benedetto XVI fece intendere che non avrebbe partecipato ai “festeggiamenti” luterani, affermò che «Per la Chiesa cattolica non c'è nulla da festeggiare» Un pò di storia: Il 15 aprile 1530, Venerdì Santo, Martin Lutero (1483-1546) arrivò a Coburgo insieme a 70 nobili, 7 cavalieri e 120 tra soldati e viaggiatori; qui si dovette fermare vivendo circa sei mesi nella Veste, la Fortezza, per evitare un eventuale arresto da parte dell' Imperatore Carlo V che sarebbe scattato nel caso in cui avesse proseguito fino ad Augusta, oltrepassando i confini della Sassonia dove era protetto dal Principe Elettore. Il Riformatore infatti era stato scomunicato nel gennaio 1521 da Papa Leone X e su di lui gravava il bando imperiale contenuto nell' editto di Worms del maggio 1521. Nel periodo in cui Lutero dovette soggiornare a Coburgo i teologi Melantone, Jonas e Bugenhagen, accompagnati dal principe elettore Giovanni di Sassonia, si erano infatti riuniti ad Augusta per discutere della controversia tra protestanti e cattolici e cercare un'eventuale conciliazione presentando 28 articoli della cosiddetta “Confessione Augustana”. La Dieta si concluse con una nuova condanna della dottrina luterana, con il divieto dell' ulteriore pubblicazione di scritti evangelici e con un ultimatum a seguito del quale, se i protestanti non fossero tornati sulle loro posizioni, l'Imperatore avrebbe potuto costringerli con la forza. Salendo a piedi sulla collina dove è situata la Veste Lutero esclamò: “che luogo affascinante e adatto allo studio!”. Effettivamente Lutero a Coburgo scrisse più di 120 lettere, lavorò alla traduzione della Bibbia in tedesco, redasse un commentario sui primi 25 Salmi e tradusse le Favole di Esopo che riteneva un ottimo testo per l' istruzione dei bambini.
