Poche sere fa con alcuni amici sono stata alla Pizzeria Er Panonto (Pane Unto) alla Garbatella. Un locale che frequento da tantissimi anni, conosco i proprietari, i camerieri, e ho provato quasi tutti i tavoli sia all'interno che all'esterno. E' un piacere che si rinnova tutte le volte che ci torno, perché qui, nella più antica pizzeria della Garbatella, ritrovo una Roma che non c'è più. Ma lascio la parola alla Cirillo, che vi racconterà un pezzo di storia. Un nuovo destino attende la «Garbante» raccontata da Pasolini nel romanzo Una vita violenta. Tanto per intenderci, la «Garbante» è la Garbatella, il quartiere sorto negli anni Venti sui colli che dominano la Basilica di San Paolo fuori le mura, sul modello delle città giardino degli utopisti inglesi. Il nome, secondo un�ipotesi abbastanza leggendaria (e maliziosa), deriverebbe dall'�appellativo dato alla proprietaria di un�osteria - particolarmente «garbata e bella» - a cui è dedicato il bassorilievo in piazza Geremia Bonomelli. Ebbene, laddove resistono i villini, si trovano ancora locali che ci riportano a una «vecchia Roma». Sempre aperti per accogliere il folto pubblico del Palladium, storico cinema rionale, oggi dinamico centro culturale. Riconosciuta soltanto nel 2005, come 23° rione di Roma, La Garbatella prova a riscrivere il proprio futuro anche passando per le golose vie del gusto. Non passa mai di moda la pizzeria Er Panonto, storico locale «de Roma», che da oltre trent'�anni accoglie giovani, affezionati clienti e intere famiglie di quartiere. Qui, ci si immerge nelle pizzerie di una volta, semplici, dall'�atmosfera allegra e «caciarona», tipica di una Roma che - altrove - sta sparendo. Dai due forni a legna, escono tonde alla romana, basse e croccanti e tra le più sfornate quella bufala e rughetta. Commenti, consigli e critiche sempre super graditi. Grazie.
