Due fenicotteri sembrano "abbracciarsi" in un gesto d'affetto ..... in realtà è solo l'inizio di un alterco

Thank you so much Flower :-) The light conditions were a bit complicated, side rays and over-shade areas but the scene deserved to be resumed and in my opinion shared. A greeting, Max

Great scene and great shot. A dark dagger, but not always the flamingos agree to sit in the studio :-D are rather timid!
I share your approach on the focal point and I also think that the risk of mistaken shooting or losing the picture is most clear, especially in birdwatch, where feather counting is really rewarding.
Congratulations Max, always deserving compliments!

Thanks a lot Gabbia65 :-). You are perfectly right on the show ;-). It 's rather dark: - /. But it was my personal choice not to miss the details of the plumage of the two subjects. I did the underdog shot (as I always do for subjects that are very clear and reflect a lot). With a faithful exposure to that detected by the Exposer I would lose details on whites. The final light (shot in pp) you see in the final photo is then what I perceived in person before sunset, so it is quite realistic even if dark and maybe a bit annoying. I am then not a wizard of post production and I prefer to do everything or almost at startup.
Thanks a lot still, hello, Max

This is a little different from mine, in this case. I prefer, in the case of shining light as in this shot, to go slightly overexposed and then lower the lights in the post and slightly raise the shadows. Often digital preserves unthinkable details. An under exposure I'm afraid I get no noise if I need to raise shadows.
But I shoot with a D3, which, though glorious, is not the latest find of technique :-D and tends to close a little already its shadows.
However, it is not annoying at all, indeed.
Lastly, W's trying to do everything in the room. PP, which opens up to interesting horizons, takes off a bit of a healthy challenge with the camera. I think you're a pussy. These are fixed typical of those who come from analogy, but sound fixed ;-), checch é do not say.
