A furia di passarci e ripassarci, alla fine, non ho resistito e l'ho fotografato. Per saperne qualcosa di più su questo bellissimo fiore, ecco qualche nota esplicativa. Ciclamino, detto anche in gergo scientifico “cyclamen hederifolium“, è una pianta della famiglia delle Primulaceae o, a seconda delle classificazioni, delle Myrsinaceae. Esistono molte varietà di questa pianta, che ci ragala fiori splendidi e di diversi colori al variare della tipologia. Dalle nostre parti il Ciclamino più diffuso è il persicum, anche il purpurascens è piuttosto facile da incontrare, la caratteristica che accomuna tutti, noti o meno, è la forma tondeggiante che ha anche ispirato in tempi antichi il suo nome. Ciclamino deriva infatti dal greco kyklos, che significa cerchio. La fioritura dei ciclamini è perenne, tutto l'anno fiori e foglie sono prodotte con continuità per la gioia degli appassionati che hanno questa pianta in giardino o amano incontrarla nei boschi. Per quanto riguarda il colore, non ci si annoia certo con il Ciclamino, al variare della specie troviamo infatti fiori in bianco, in rosso e di tinte rosa fino al porpora. L'autunno è la stagione preferita da questa pianta che si trova a suo agio in luoghi freschi e umidi e proprio lì riesce a produrre i fiori migliori, da settembre a marzo.
