La Fiat 850 è un'autovettura prodotta tra il 1964 ed il 1971 in oltre due milioni e duecentomila esemplari. Nata per riempire il vuoto che vi era tra la 600 e la 1100 (non a caso 850 è la media aritmetica di 600 e 1100), la FIAT riuscì a creare in poco tempo e con poca spesa una vettura che seppe resistere dal periodo successivo alla fine del Boom economico fino all'inizio della crisi dell'auto degli anni settanta. Essa è inoltre il terzultimo modello a motore posteriore prodotto dalla casa torinese.
