Il colobo rosso di Zanzibar (Pilocolubus Kirkii) è una specie di colobo rosso endemico di Unguja, l'isola principale dell'arcipelago di Zanzibar, al largo della Tanzania. Il nome scientifico rende omaggio a Sir John Kirk (1832-1922), il diplomatico britannico residente a Zanzibar che lo rese noto per primo alla comunità scientifica internazionale. Oggi queste scimmie si possono osservare unicamente nella Foresta di Jozani (per la quale ho creato una scheda ad hoc, nella sezione “Destinazioni”). #wild
