Le acacie orobiche sono acacie fossilizzate per disidratazione. In particolare a Deadvlei, le acacie furono ricoperte almeno 500 anni fà dal movimento delle dune e così fossilizzate. Il continuo movimento delle sabbie ha poi riportato alla luce la spianata arida di Deadvlei ed i suoi fossili.

Della parte riguardante la post ti e' stato gia' detto, per cio' che riguarda la foto, a me piace molto la composizione con il ramo in primo piano sulla diagonale, il giusto peso tra il primo piano e lo sfondo, i colori saturi ma efficaci e la ripetizione quasi grafica del motivo albero che si puo' notare sulla linea che separa il piano dalle dune.Anche il nido sul secondo albero e' un punto in piu'.
