Parto dal 180 f/2,8 che ho anche io e che considero un bellissimo obiettivo, ancora oggi di notevole livello. Il 180 mi sembra piuttosto pesante e, forse, un po' più sbilnciato a causa della notevole lente anteriore.
Giuste, a mio parere, le considerazioni di Fortunato, ma la versione senza nulla nell'angolo in alto a dx, hai ragione, risulta vuota, perde la "cornice" e non sembra avere forza. Personalmente, però, non lo vedo un problema così fastidioso.
Lo sfocato in primo piano va benissimo con la riserva della poca pulizia (Fortunato docet) delle prime foglie
Infine, come tu hai accennato, anche a me disturbano un po' i primi rami e le foglie non perfettamente a fuoco del gruppo che è il vero protagonista dello scatto e che, proprio per questo motivo, dovrebbe essere tutto perfettamente leggibile. Non so quale possa essere la soluzione e se chiudendo un po' il diaframma si possa migliorare senza perdere la bellezza dello sfocato. A volte bisogna arrendersi alle condizioni di quel che si ha di fronte.

stavo pensando di ritornarci stasera anche se ,con la siccità che sta colpendo le nostre zone (quasi drammatiche) ho pausa di non ritrovarle più così verdi quelle foglie.Si notano già alcune foglie secche e in certi punti il bosco è completamente marrone
