Questo frate dell'Abbazia di Chiaravalle, ha appena finito di discutere con un gruppo di turisti che voleva a tutti i costi visitare Il Mulino (oggi, martedì chiuso), visitabile solo sabato e domenica pomeriggio. Alla fine era esausto, e non potendone più, li ha piantati e se ne è andato verso l'Abbazia. Questo frate appartiene all'ordine Benedettino, fondato nel 534 da San Benedetto da Norcia e che consta della famosa regola: "Ora et labora": Prega e lavora. I frati si riuniscono in preghiera sette volte al giorno, lavorano tantissimo (nella produzione di tisane, e prodotti alimentari e per la cura del corpo), ma credo che la fatica più grande sia per loro, dover discutere spesso e volentieri con chi alle "regole" non ci vuol stare e tenta, appena può di infrangerle. All'info-point, mi hanno detto che ci sono molti turisti e gruppi indisciplinati che credono di poter far ciò che vogliono, e che, il più delle volte, loro sono costretti a far intervenire i frati. E' di certo vero quanto dici nella didascalia ed il rispetto di regole e persone dovrebbe essere alla base di tutto. Tuttavia, proprio a Chiaravalle, 11 agosto 2016, ho avuto una pessima esperienza. Un frate, nella supponenza che avessi scattato una fotografia che lo riprendeva (non era vero, nessuno scatto), mi si è rivolto con epiteti che, di sicuro, avrà dovuto ripetere al suo confessore, non sentendo ragioni. Ovvio, conosciamo benissimo le regole del buon senso, della discrezione e delle norme di legge e, se avessi scattato, avrei prontamente cancellato il file..... Ma il file, non c'era proprio, e non ho avuto modo di aprire bocca subendo l'incalzare verbale del mio stizzito interlocutore.
Ora, colgo l'occasione di questa foto per la mia piccola protesta.
Garbo ed educazione sarebbero denominatori semplici del vivere civile eppure sembrano sempre più merce rara.
Allora, al caro mediocre fratello, non serbo rancore, non è diverso dai molti altri che paiono degni di una critica perché invadenti ed impertinenti.
Senza recare disturbo alle scritture di cui non sono esegeta, e temendo altresì il possibile reiterarsi di movimenti inquisitori, faccio mie affermazioni dell'Amleto, in particolare, se ben ricordo, la scena in cui il Principe e Polonio, dalle mura del castello (bello Kronborg ad Helsingor) vedono avvicinarsi i carri dei commedianti:
Polonio - ..... saranno trattati per come si meritano....-
Il Principe - Se cominciamo a trattare ciascuno secondo i suoi meriti, chi si salva più dalla frusta? trattateli secondo la dignità e l'onore vostro, meno essi ne saranno degni, maggior merito ne avrete voi per la vostra generosità...-
Sono andato "a memoria" e chiedo venia per eventuali imperfezioni, ma il significato credo sia chiaro.
