IL LAVORO E' SACRO (di Settimio Benedusi) Il ritratto è certamente l'ambito in cui l'invenzione della Fotografia ha rivoluzionato la possibilità dell'umanità di guardare e raccontare se stessa: prima del 1826 il privilegio di tramandare un'immagine di sé era infatti appannaggio di quei pochissimi (clero, nobili, borghesia) che potevano permettersi il costo di un pittore. Da quella data in avanti diventa invece possibile per chiunque andare dal fotografo e farsi fare una fotografia: se oggi noi cerchiamo nei cassetti della memoria possiamo vedere che faccia avevano i nostri bisnonni, anche se non erano vescovi, duchi o banchieri. Esaltando queste caratteristiche Settimio Benedusi ha costruito un set fotografico all'interno del cantiere di Scalo Milano, dove ha invitato a posare per lui tutti coloro i quali hanno contribuito, in varia maniera, all'ideazione, progettazione e costruzione di questo nuovissimo shopping district. Uomini e donne tutti diversi tra loro ma accomunati dalla dignità, dall'orgoglio e dalla serenità del lavoro fatto bene: perché è inutile negarlo, la vita di ognuno di noi è il lavoro che ognuno di noi svolge.
