Via de' Bardi, Firenze ... gennaio 2017 ... Occorsero soltanto cinque mesi, nell'anno di grazia 1565, al genio creativo e costruttivo del Vasari, per realizzare i mille e più metri del celeberrimo Corridoio: la lunga ed in taluni punti stretta galleria sopraelevata fu commissionata dal Granduca Cosimo I de' Medici in occasione delle nozze tra il figlio Francesco e Giovanna d'Austria, per consentire alla corte di muoversi liberamente senza intralci e pericoli dalla residenza in Pitti ai palazzi ed agli Uffizi del potere cittadino. Oggi il Corridoio ospita la più grande collezione di autoritratti al mondo, rigorosamente esposti in ordine cronologico ed in primis, giusto tributo, proprio quello del Vasari. A breve l'intero percorso aprirà nuovamente i suoi battenti al grande pubblico, collegando così le meraviglie degli Uffizi a quelle della Galleria Palatina, in un unicum di fascino assoluto!
