con Nikon TC-14E II, 1/250 f/5.6, ISO 200, tripod. Specie: Merops apiaster

Ciò che restava del relitto di un vecchio albero trasportato dalla corrente ed adagiato sul greto asciutto del torrente, era utilizzato come posatoio da un gruppo di gruccioni nel loro andare e venire dai nidi che avevano scavato nella vicina scarpata.- Avevo posizionato il capanno ad una distanza tale che mi consentisse di fotografarli singolarmente e pressochè a pieno formato col 500 mm e l' 1,4x montato.- Ho realizzato parecchie immagini e, mentre stavo osservando attraverso il mirino della reflex l'esemplare ripreso in questa foto, ho percepito l'arrivo di un soggetto con un volo diverso da quello dei gruccioni.- Mi sono così ritrovato con l'upupa posato veramente vicinissimo al gruccione, ma impossibilitato a riprenderli assieme, anche smontando l'1,4x, in quanto troppo vicino ai soggetti.- Ho realizzato così due scatti diversi che poi ho unito con photoshop.- Anche se riuniti artificiosamente, rappresentano comunque una situazione reale perdurata per qualche minuto che mi ha consentito di effettuare diversi scatti sia al gruccione che all'upupa.-
