Appena superata Place de la Concorde, sul marciapiede sinistro di Avenue des Champs-Élysées,sento cantare la Vie en Rose, della grande, indimenticabile Edith Piaf. Dopo pochi passi, vedo una gran folla, chiedo educatamente permesso, e sorpresa delle sorprese: quattro orsi cantano e suonano. Li ho ascoltati come ipnotizzata, in un'ora, tutti i più grandi successi degli storici chansonnier francesi: Jacques Brel, Georges Brassens, Georges Moustaki, Charles Aznavour, Gilbert Bécaud, Charles Trenet, Yves Montand. Durante la pausa, i quattro omoni vestiti da orso, hanno distribuito dolci e caramelle ai tantissimi bambini che li avevano ascoltati in silenzio, hanno riso e scherzato con loro e, pazientemente si sono messi in posa per le foto di rito. Il ragazzo dello stand accanto, mi ha detto che il quartetto viene offerto e pagato dall'Organizzazione Mercatini di Natale. Hanno ripreso a cantare, la folla si è ricomposta, alla fine, mi sono allontanata a malincuore, ma ero felice, avevo respirato anche nelle sue canzoni più celebri, la tipica atmosfera che trovi solo a Parigi.
