Sede della Provincia e della Prefettura di Varese, Villa Recalcati è una delle più significative testimonianze di architettura suburbana settecentesca italiana, edificata su un'area digradante verso il lago di Varese. Il suo primo nucleo fu eretto nella seconda metà del Seicento, quale villa di campagna della nobile famiglia milanese Recalcati. Dopo una serie di passaggi di proprietà, fu trasformata nel 1874 nel "Grande Albergo Excelsior", che divenne uno dei più importanti e rinomati del nord Italia, frequentato da personalità quali Verdi e D'Annunzio. #LungheEsposizioni #BlackAndWhite #Notturno #UrbanLife
