Il refettorio è l'ambiente più vasto dopo la chiesa, perché doveva raccogliere centinaia di uomini che consumavano il pasto contemporaneamente. Il pavimento è rialzato di circa un metro rispetto al piano del chiostro. Vi si accede da un portale che termina con arco a tutto sesto ed è abbellito da una lunetta con le immagini della Vergine di sant'Antonio e san Tommaso, attribuiti a maestri privernati del XIII-XIV secolo. Il tetto in legno è sostenuto da cinque archi a sesto acuto; nelle pareti destre sono stati praticati due grandi archi a tutto sesto in uno dei quali c'è il pulpito, al quale si accede mediante una scalinata di pietra ricavata dallo spessore del muro: un monaco, durante i pasti, leggeva ai confratelli brani della Sacra Scrittura e dei Padri. Subito dopo la porta d'ingresso vi è un'apertura dalla quale le vivande venivano passate direttamente al refettorio.
