Una griffe ma soprattutto un simbolo tipicamente torinese. Stiamo parlando del Toret anche se sarebbe meglio parlare al plurale visto che le fontanelle verdi con la testa di toro dalla quale sgorga acqua sono ormai più di 800 sparse in modo capillare in tutta la città… La fontana del Toret, un parallelepipedo con sviluppo verticale chiuso da una volta semicilindrica è in ghisa verniciata con un verde caratteristico. La testa di toro dalla cui bocca esce l'acqua funge da cannella d'erogazione e completa l'installazione, a terra, una griglia semicircolare di scolo spesso munita di una conca centrale utile per dissetare gli animali da compagnia. Il modello di oggi è forgiato su modelli precedenti in pietra.
