The light from the ship really enhances the sense of water motion. I can almost hear it. Congrats Ann

Nice night shot Ann, well composed. Good result. Re Tims comment re the high iso, if thats what it takes so be it. Sometimes we run out of apertures so to speak so if the iso is dropped the shutter speed is dropped. Yes you can use a tripod and lower the iso which will give a lower shutter speed as well but if the subject is moving it's maybe not what you want.

On the other hand if you haven't run out of apertures then the depth of field is going to be less. Damned if you do damned if you don't.

Edit --- after all it isn't taken in daylight and the high iso is a tool in the modern photographer's armoury. It's not the end of the world if you use it when needs must.

Thanks very much for your lovely comment, Frank! I agree that the slower shutter speed that would have resulted from lowering the iso would have created blurry that I didn't want. The higher isos are there for just such occasions as this one :))

Thanks very much Segio, Mattew and Nino!

Angelo, too - many thanks for your great comment!

So glad you like it, Andrea!

Such a lovely comment, Salvo - thank you so much!

Many thanks, Paolo!

And Ardian and Paolo! Thank you so much!

Ann :))
