Posa B f/5.0, ISO 2000, tripod.

Elaborazione DSS e Photoshop. ----- After years of inactivity, the telescope newton 25cm F5 (focal lenght 1235mm) is back at work, under the low sky Montecassiano (MC - ITALY) .... but thanks to the nebular filter something came out .... A "classic" of the period: the nebula Orion, shot with the 60d changed to 2000 iSO. Sum of thirty poses by 90 "and shorter for the central part, do not drive. Processing DSS and Photoshop.

Thanks to all these positive comments!
It 'nice to then read tips like those of Vega, who dispassionately try to help and inform all of the most advanced techniques to process these (scorbutic) images! ;-)

Thank you all ..... I'll try again when I have developed autoguiding .... and things could improve a lot!

Do not humiliate us. E 'already so WONDERFUL.
And thank you for sharing.

Hello Chris, really remarkable even for the focal you used ;-) lelaborazione Each has its own story and is almost impossible to reproduce them in series, apart from the personal touch on cosmetics. Regarding the HLVG Plugin it is created by Rogelio Bernal Andreo, but you know that already, its internal algorithms act on the green / cyan without affecting other colors. Although I am the other philosophy on shooting method (time + long and ISO low) admit that with these settings, I think a little "push" you managed to resume conspicuously the gaseous material around M42 in this mixture of Hydrogen and Oxygen , now the infamous area of ??Keystone perhaps almost everyone has learned that it is the Achilles heel of the picture. I'd be curious to see this picture drawn with PI instead of the old DSS Hello :-)

Beppe on the times you're right ..... but no guider I could not do more, as I said, try again when you get the guider! :-)
For processing do not know how much difference they can make plans, the end much depends on the skill and experience which then works on the sum .....

I opted for a standalone, the Synscan, that being the daughter of the SkyWatcher always hope you understand well with eq6 SS! I have a doubt about the focal driving ..... for the same pixel size (shooting sensor and guider) focal lengths must be the same? Lower? Superior?

bhe. the compatibility of QHY with equatorial are known, are the various operating systems that sometimes they send conflicting PHD ... about the focal autoguiding do not think it changes much, you can mount a Polemaster Lacerta MGEN also as a standalone on a small APO with focal greater than 400mm, but enough to have a swollen wallet and one we can also mount a Moravian large format ... but it is evident that the more precise the wedge is more precise autoguiding .. exist heads with scraps 0.1 arc sec that do not need autoguiding but cost almost like a Lamborghini, but since we are proletarians and we are satisfied we can, you do everything according to what we can spend :-D :-D

... I have driven even with focal mm.su 355 816 focal shooting and more ... and the stars have always been perfect point ... all also depends on the alignment of AR axis with Polaris. ..

Farfetched also quite aggressive in detail.
I understand that the coloring does its effect but for me the image is not at all good
No three-dimensionality, see the flat and slightly related colors. The whole area around M42 is dominated by dust and hydrogen emission at most with reflections of blue stars nearby areas, not all cyan
Sorry but I'm going against the tide
