Fra Hawassa e Shashemene (Regione Territoriale di Oromia, Etiopia) vi è una zona lacustre, densamente popolata per le risorse ittiche, che è attraversata da una strada incessantemente percorsa da camion tanto mastodontici quanto vetusti. Ai lati della strada, ai margini del lago, ci sono alti alberi su cui stazionano e nidificano decine e decine di aquile urlatrici. Periodicamente si lanciano dalla cima degli alberi verso il lago e nel farlo molte di esse sono falciate dagli alti camion che passano a velocità sostenuta. Quel giorno ne abbiamo contate sull'asfalto almeno 7-8. Ci siamo fermati a lungo e fra i tanti scatti ho trovato una sequenza dove si vede l'Aquila lanciarsi in acqua con gli artigli acuminati protesi e poi uscire (qui rappresentata) con il pesce.
