Attualmente la Basilica, che è proprietà del Demanio, è affidata all'Ordine dei Servi di Maria; il ridotto numero di religiosi ha però costretto l'Ordine a ritirare i Frati che vivevano a Superga ed a limitare le cerimonie religiose alle Domeniche e a particolari ricorrenze. I Frati tradizionalmente allestivano nel periodo natalizio un Presepio con figure collezionate negli anni, modesto ma con lo charme dell'essere sotto la meravigliosa cupola Juvarriana. Oggi uno sparuto gruppo di fedeli si occupa di tenere in vita questa tradizione, supplendo alle limitate capacità con l'entusiasmo e l'amore per questo luogo ricco di ricordi.
