at 24mm, 1/80 f/20.0, ISO 125, hand held. Passo Gavia, Italy.

Sulla riva del Lago Bianco al Passo Gavia vi è collocato uno stupendo crocifisso intagliato nel legno. Quest'artistico manufatto venne fatto apporre in questa posizione da un giovane in segno di ringraziamento per essere riuscito a sopravvivere ad un improvvisa bufera di neve che lo colse di sorpresa mentre transitava dal Passo con la moglie e la madre. Usciti miracolosamente indenni dalla tormenta i tre viandanti riuscirono a raggiungere l'abitato di Ponte di Legno senza alcuna conseguenza. L'accaduto, avvenuto nell'ottobre del 1929, spinse il giovane ad erigere questo grande crocifisso votivo in segno di gratitudine per lo scampato pericolo. Sullo sfondo il Corno dei Tre Signori (m. 3.360). Scatto effettuato nel mese di Luglio 2016.
