How to cut I have no preference, both horizontally and vertically makes fine though the description of the scene, no doubt prefer the post than the horizontal, the end is always a matter of personal taste and the photo then has to please you.
About whether to stand in the middle of a scene ... I happen to have all the time you want and still position myself badly, even with the tripod. :-D

The composition is quite central and obligatory here, but it works, taking the eye out toward the sky truly remarkable! The brightness of the first floor is to be reviewed, because it is strange "read" the shadows of the bridge axis and having vegetation in silhouette ... even the glow effect would reduce. I like the picture as a whole and recognize the technical difficulties.

I do not understand you! This landscape was pretty much okay .... any ritocchino and it was perfect ... why get bogged down in a merger in this case I think useless ...? The blacks are much more closed, the glow is too (the glow is a very special and contrasting filter, in every way ... I like but for many it is c ....!) And the horizontal much gives breath and freedom of observation ... and I think that the light is better .... strictly personal opinion ...
A salutone ...! Ciaooo! ;-)

I chose this version because the light was a little 'better and did not last long ;-)
Thank you so much for the visits always welcome :-P

Hello Claudio, beautiful I like both versions but the one vertical cut takes me more because I relate with darker areas with the daily anxiety of continuous running and sometimes without knowing where it will lead us taken away (as that bridge it does not explain where lead) but we travel only because they were attracted by a glow that makes us believe in who knows what but most of the time we can not even figure out what had been generated.
Maybe a little 'twisted my view the photos but, by now, you should know me.

A greeting

Riccardo

Thanks Richard, I love your visions, maybe a little 'optimism not hurt :-D but the real life we ??have become accustomed to these moods, but woe to lose hope ;-) is a bit' as in val bognanco where we waited in vain for the light, but sometimes the surprises are just around the corner 8-)
