The sun was setting on the crest of the mountains to the right, illuminating tenuously the first floor and flooding light over the head of the valley ... I remember underexposed to avoid burning the highlights on the sky and on the glacier (the sensorino of my 40d it does what it can! :-D); in post I have deliberately limited the opening of the shadows so as not to create artifacts ;-)
